Pollinators, such as bees, butterflies and hummingbirds help
flowering plants reproduce by moving pollen. This act of pollination is the first step in generating seeds, which create new plants.
Unfortunately, bee populations have dropped alarmingly across North America, as have the populations of many other pollinator species. Take the monarch butterfly as an example―the number of these iconic orange and black butterflies has plummeted over 96% in the past 25 years. The loss of pollinators is likely due to dwindling habitat, diseases, parasites, and environmental contaminants.
Your family may choose to play an active role to support the
population of these amazing creatures by incorporating plants and trees that attract and feed them. Adults and children both continue to be amazed at the beauty and lessons portrayed from those that are attracted to the flora we have incorporated into our landscaping.
Should you wish to create your own habitat that attract pollinator into your landscaping scheme, we will design a plan that encompasses your preferences, one that will serve to attract the beautiful creatures you wish to observe and support.
